Jill Goss - Principal

Involved in calisthenics since age 4, Jill started coaching at age 16.  In 1965, she established Avonde Calisthenics, based in Avondale Heights.  A Championship grade club for all sections since 1975, Avonde has recently celebrated its milestone 40th Anniversary.  After coaching all sections, including a non-competitive stream for most of those years, Jill now oversees all classes and mentors twelve qualified (or working to be qualified), Level 1 Coaches for all sections that have performed as Avonde girls during their own calisthenics careers.  Jill has been an Adjudicator for 38 years and now travels all over Australia, lecturing on Coaching Young Children, and the items that are close to her heart, particularly Figure Marching and Club Swinging.

Natalie Goss – Vice Principal

Born into Avonde calisthenics, Natalie has coached Avonde girls for a number of years, and has herself attained Most Graceful Girl at Ballarat in 1999.  Recently married with a young son, Natalie has opted not to coach a particular section during 2007 (after coaching both Intermediates and Subbies during 2006), concentrating on family and solo coaching, often lending an opinion or a hand when required.
